Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books will begin meeting weekly in October.  Members meet in the library after school on Mondays & Tuesdays  during their lunch recess to work with each other and the teachers who are coaching the team this year.  Please speak with Mrs. Walls or Mrs. Nalker you have any questions. The first quiz will take place the end of October or early November.  Students will need to know the names of the 7 picture books, their authors and their illustrators.  Good luck Stocker readers!

Milwaukee Wave Reading Program

Students at Stocker Elementary have been invited to participate in the Milwaukee Wave Reading program during October and November.  All reading logs are due back into the library by Thursday, November 4th.  Everyone who meets their goal will get a free ticket to a Milwaukee Wave game this season!

Kenosha Kingfish Reading Program

Students who met their reading goals set by their teacher scored duing the month of March will receive a FREE ticket (plus hot dog and a soda) for Stocker night at the Kenosha Kingfish game on June 9, 2016.  We hope everyone can join us at the game!

Reading night in our Library

This event is held twice a year in the fall and the spring in the Stocker Learning Commons.  Parents, teachers, and students come, in their pajamas, to read together and even take AR tests. Raffle prizes are also given to those who attend.
